2nd Turkic Ski Cup Held on Uludağ
The 2nd Turkic Ski Cup, held under the auspices of the Organization of Turkic States, took place on Uludağ with more than 100 athletes from 5 countries.
The 2nd Turkic Ski Cup, held under the auspices of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), took place on Uludağ. The event, in which more than 100 athletes from 5 countries competed, was organized in cooperation with the Uludağ, Amirsoy, Shahdag, Shymbulak, Erciyes, Palandöken, Tufandag and Oi-Qaragai ski resorts.
OTS Project Director Harun Nurullah Tanzı emphasized that cooperation between Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkey is deepening in every field, including ski resorts, and that this strengthens the bonds of brotherhood between the countries.
On behalf of Uludağ A.Ş., Burak Beceren noted that this season an alliance of 8 resorts and 5 countries had formed with the participation of Erciyes and Palandöken as well as Oi-Qaragai from Kazakhstan and Tufandag from Azerbaijan, adding that the races will continue each year in different countries and resorts. Mehmet Budak of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality's Erciyes A.Ş. also touched on the importance of Uludağ and joint projects between resorts.
