1st Summit of the Union of Turkic Ski Resorts

The 1st Summit of the Union of Turkic Ski Resorts was concluded under the hosting of Shahdağ Ski Resort, one of Azerbaijan's leading winter tourism destinations. Representing Turkey, Uludağ Ski Resort took part as a founding member.

On behalf of Uludağ, Burak Beceren, representing the Board of Directors, and Social Media Manager Oğuz Sönmez attended the meeting. From Turkey, Erciyes Ski Resort (Manager Zafer Akşehiroğlu, Advertising and Marketing Manager Mehmet Budak) and Palandöken Ski Resort (Business Development Manager Ahmet İstanbullu) also completed their official membership in the Union and took part in the summit.

Representatives from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan attended the meeting. At the summit, important discussions were held with the aim of strengthening winter tourism among the countries of the Turkic world, extending tourism to 12 months beyond the winter season, and developing joint projects.

The most notable decision of the summit was the creation of a single loyalty card for tourists, valid at all ski resorts that are members of the Union. Thanks to this card, visitors will be able to benefit from bonuses, discounts and personalized offers at all resort destinations. In addition, a shared seasonal pass valid across the entire union will also be introduced.

All of these efforts will be supported through an integrated digital platform developed for both individual tourists (B2C) and tour operators and travel agencies (B2B). The prototype of this platform, which will work together with a user interface enriched with maps, up-to-date tour information, prices, routes and promotions, has already begun to be tested at Turkic ski resorts.

The summit, held under the successful hosting of Shahdağ, was an important step toward establishing stronger cooperation and integrated tourism models among the ski resorts of the Turkic world.
