Snow Volleyball Tournament Excitement on Uludağ

Uludağ is crowning the winter season with an international snow volleyball tournament. Engin Balta, head of the TÜRSAB South Marmara Regional Representation Board, said that with the upcoming 2026 FIVB Snow Volleyball World Tour Uludağ leg, winter tourism has reached an important turning point.

Around 300 athletes from various countries will take part in the international event, to be held on March 26–29 in cooperation with the Turkish Volleyball Federation and local administrations. The matches, to be played at snow-covered hotels and on special snow-covered volleyball courts, are expected to contribute to the revival of winter tourism.

Balta noted that hotels and facilities would remain open until April 5, that occupancy rates had reached 90%, and that there was strong interest particularly from Azerbaijan, Russia and Malaysia. GÜMTOB board member Burak Beceren said such events would reinforce Uludağ's importance in winter tourism and add special value to the close of the season.
